A native of Durham, NC, Antonia Evans is owner of Heavenly Scent Candle Company – hand poured 100% soy wax candles. After the unfortunate loss of her corporate job in 2010, Antonia earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University. This amazing accomplishment inspired her to step out on faith and become an entrepreneur in 2012.

 

Passion is what motivates an individual to work hard, so Antonia combined her organizational skills and love for candles to create her own dream job. She has put in countless hours of practice to hone her candle-making skills. After crafting the perfect mix of distinctive fragrances loved by her customers, she knew this was her calling. The eco-friendly candles of Heavenly Scent Candle Company have been sold at Charlotte’s annual For Sister’s Only and is currently a top seller in Exotique International Fabrics & Gifts located in Durham, NC.

 

Antonia received her undergraduate degree from North Carolina Central University.  Since 2005 she has lived in Charlotte, NC during which she became a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  She takes great pride in serving her community and being a part of several ministries.
